Called the “Rocking-Knit,” this creative lo-tech furniture piece uses the kinetic energy derived from the to-and-fro rocking movements of the user to activate the gears of the machine and knits winter wear at the same time.

The Energy Return Wheel (ERW) was originally developed for cars and is made up of an internal layer of rubber that is stretched across adjustable rods with elastic cushions in the middle in place of air and a rubber tread on the outside.
